Matt Hardy Calls Rey Mysterio The Greatest Luchador Of All Time

On the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, wrestling veteran Matt Hardy shared high praise for fellow WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, calling him the greatest Luchador in professional wrestling history.

Reflecting on Mysterio’s decorated career—which includes championship reigns in WWE, WCW, and success in Mexico—Hardy emphasized how Mysterio’s achievements have broken barriers and inspired generations.

“I would put him down as the greatest Luchador of all time. I thought about everybody. The stuff he’s done has transcended so much,” Hardy said. “He was successful in Mexico. He was successful in ECW, WCW, and WWE—he even became a World Champion, which was groundbreaking for someone his size.”

Hardy, now competing in TNA, spoke highly of Mysterio’s character both in and out of the ring:

“He’s an amazing guy. Rey’s the best. I can’t say enough good stuff about him. I could sit here and put him over ad nauseam. He’s the best.”

Rey Mysterio was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2023, further solidifying his legacy as one of the most influential and beloved figures in wrestling history.
